Who we are

This site is operated by The Yamassee Indian Tribe / Yamassee Nation to publish and sell the digital ebook Building Your Indigenous Tribe.

What we collect

• Information you give us: first name, email address, optional mobile number, and your marketing consent choice with a timestamp.
• Purchase information: name, email, payment status, transaction identifier and purchase time, processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
• First-party measurement: an anonymous visitor identifier stored in your browser, session identifier, page views, scroll depth, which sections you viewed and for roughly how long, which buttons you clicked, referrer and UTM campaign parameters, device category, browser family, operating system and screen-size bucket.

IP addresses

Our servers necessarily receive your IP address to deliver the page. We do not store raw IP addresses in our analytics or marketing records. Instead we store a salted one-way hash used only for counting unique visits and for abuse and fraud prevention, plus a coarse country/region signal where our hosting provides one. An IP-derived signal is not treated as identifying you personally, is never shown in marketing tables, and is never used to infer ancestry, ethnicity or any other sensitive characteristic.

Why we use it

To deliver the checklist and ebook you requested, to keep records of consent, to understand which parts of this page are useful, to prevent abuse, and — only if you consented — to send you future resources and offers.

Your choices

• Non-essential measurement runs only after you choose “Allow” in the banner.
• Marketing email requires an explicit opt-in checkbox — never pre-ticked.
• You can unsubscribe at any time from any email or on our unsubscribe page. Suppressed addresses stay suppressed.
• Write to us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.

Retention

Event-level measurement data is kept for up to 24 months and then aggregated or deleted. Lead records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, plus a suppression record we must keep so we do not email you again. Purchase records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting.

Sharing

We share data only with the processors that run this service: our hosting and database provider, our payment provider, and — where connected — an email delivery provider. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising networks on this site.

Sensitive information

We do not collect ancestry, ethnicity, tribal affiliation or identity claims through this site’s forms or analytics.
